Illusio 3D — illusio3d.com and the builder at app.illusio3d.com
1. Who you are agreeing with
Illusio 3D is provided by Santeri Salmi, Finland, invoicing through Premium Audio osk (Finnish business ID 2616623-6). In this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean Santeri Salmi trading as Illusio 3D, invoicing through Premium Audio osk; "you" means whoever is using the site or the app.
Questions about these terms: [email protected]. How we handle your data is covered separately, in the Privacy Policy.
2. What Illusio 3D is
Illusio 3D is a browser-based tool for turning a photograph of a screen or display into a calibrated 3D scene, and for exporting the result as an image or video. It runs entirely in your browser; nothing needs installing.
The tool is free to open and use, with no account. An account is only needed to buy credits, hold a licence, or keep work in the cloud.
3. Accounts
You can use the builder anonymously — it gives you a temporary session so you can start working immediately. Nothing you make that way is tied to an identity until you choose to create an account.
If you create an account, you're responsible for:
- giving us a working email address, since it's how we reach you and how a purchase or a licence is tied to you;
- keeping your sign-in secure — tell us if you think someone else has access to it;
- what happens under your account, the same way you'd be responsible for a key you were given.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. Deleting it removes your projects, files and presets with it — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that does and doesn't remove.
We may suspend or close an account that's used to abuse the service — see Section 5.
4. Your content
What you make in Illusio 3D — your projects, your reference photographs, your presets, the scenes you build — is yours. We don't claim ownership of it, we don't use it to train anything, and we don't look at it except where you've specifically asked for help with a project.
You're responsible for having the right to use whatever you upload — photographs, images, video, fonts, 3D models. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use, or anything illegal, and don't upload content that infringes someone else's rights. We can remove content or suspend an account over a genuine, substantiated complaint that it does.
Illusio 3D itself — the software, the site, our name and branding — stays ours. Using the tool doesn't give you any right to it beyond what these terms describe.
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- try to break, overload, or find a way around the tool's technical limits (rate limits, storage, the anonymous-session mechanism) for a purpose other than normal use;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the tool itself;
- use it to create or distribute anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
- misrepresent who you are to obtain a credit, a licence, or a refund you aren't entitled to.
We can suspend or close an account that does any of this. Where a purchase is involved, see Section 7 for how that intersects with refunds.
6. Payments
Credit-pack purchases are handled by Paddle.com, who act as the Merchant of Record for every order: Paddle is the seller you're actually transacting with, handles payment processing, tax, and invoicing, and is who your statement will show a charge from. Paddle's own terms — not ours — govern the payment itself; see Paddle's Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms and its Refund Policy at https://www.paddle.com/legal/refund-policy for those.
A Team licence (Section 8) is arranged and paid for separately, outside Paddle — invoiced directly, not through checkout.
We never see or store your card details. What we hold on our side is described in the Privacy Policy: the balance, and a record of each transaction.
7. Credits and refunds
Credit packs are one-time purchases, not a subscription. There's no recurring charge, and nothing renews on its own.
What a pack gets you. Exporting a still image costs nothing, whether or not you've bought anything — but that's free for non-commercial use only. Any credit pack unlocks the following for 12 months from the date you buy it:
- unlimited watermarked video export;
- keeping projects in the cloud, and importing objects from one of them into another;
- the right to use what you export commercially, stills included.
Spending the credits doesn't shorten the 12 months, and buying another pack restarts them from that purchase. The credits themselves pay for clean (unwatermarked) video exports. See the pricing table on the site for the exact prices, and Section 4 for what "your content" already means either way.
When the 12 months end. Anything you exported while they ran keeps its commercial rights — only new exports are affected. Projects already in the cloud stay yours to open, export and delete; what stops is saving new ones or changes to them. Saving to your own computer is always free.
Expiry. Unspent credits expire at the end of the same 12 months — one year after they're added to your balance. This is stated at the point of purchase too, not only here.
Refunds. If you haven't used any credits from a pack, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying it — write to [email protected]. Once credits from a pack have been spent, that part isn't refundable, because the export they paid for has already been delivered — but an unused remainder in a partly-used pack is, on the same 14-day clock as the rest of the pack, counted from when you bought it rather than from your last export.
If a credit was spent because of a fault on our side — a failed export that still charged you, for instance — tell us and we'll put it right. This is handled by hand rather than automatically; there's no situation where the app currently reverses a charge on its own.
Refunds are processed by Paddle, back to your original payment method, since Paddle is the Merchant of Record for the purchase.
Chargebacks. A chargeback is a dispute filed with your bank or card issuer, and since Paddle is the Merchant of Record, it's actually handled by Paddle's own customer support, not us. That said, write to us first if something's wrong: [email protected]. We can usually sort out a refund faster than a formal dispute takes.
Withdrawal right (EU/EEA buyers). Under the Consumer Rights Directive, and under Paddle's own Buyer Terms as the seller you're actually transacting with, you have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase for a full refund — unless, within that period, you started downloading, streaming, using, or otherwise benefiting from what you bought, having agreed for it to be made available to you before the 14 days ended. Credits landing in your balance is delivery; using what the pack unlocks — spending a credit, exporting a video, saving a project to the cloud — is use, and that is when the statutory right ends. The refund policy above goes further: unspent credits stay refundable for the full 14 days, and no reason is needed.
8. Team licence
Some capabilities — unlimited credits, among others — are unlocked by a Team licence instead. It isn't sold through checkout; it's arranged directly by writing to us, and its terms are agreed individually and confirmed in writing. Where anything in a signed licence agreement conflicts with this document, the licence agreement controls.
9. Availability
We try to keep Illusio 3D available and working correctly, but we don't promise it will be available every moment, free of bugs, or compatible with every browser or device. We can change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and will try to give notice before anything that takes away something you've paid for.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited under Finnish law — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Beyond that: we provide Illusio 3D "as is," without warranties of any kind, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses (lost profits, lost business, lost data beyond what's reasonably recoverable) that result from using or being unable to use the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid for Illusio 3D in the twelve months before the claim — whether that was a credit pack through Paddle or a Team licence invoiced directly, since you don't pay us directly for the former (Paddle is the seller, Section 6).
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, say so in the app. Continuing to use Illusio 3D after a change means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can stop using it and, where Section 7 applies, ask about a refund.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
